Delicious authentic pupusas. Great price. Very stuffed. The tamales are tasty as well. I have not tried their pan dulce yet but will.

What you need to know: Extra busy - we walked in and it took over 45mins just for 6 pupusas - tons of people called in and picked up their order so that's the way to go. The pupusas are decent enough, big portions and will satisfy your craving. Workers are wearing masks which was a nice change to most spots nearby - most customers (those not eating) weren't despite the sign on the door however. Came here on a whim as we had a craving and other usual spots were closing. Their menu isn't displayed so it's a little difficult to order, but you can manage. This spot gets super busy with most people calling ahead, so if you don't want to wait forever, cal before you order. Food: We got 6 pupusas, 2 de chorizo, 2 de asada, 1 de jalapeño, and 1 de pollo. The pupusas are huge and have great flavor. They weren't as crispy as I'd like and fell apart very easily. They definitely had too much masa as I prefer mine a little thinner and crispier, but they did satisfy the craving and 3 was a LOT. We were definitely extra full after. The asada ones had plenty of steak that was cooked perfectly - not too well done, and still tender - definitely my favorite. The chorizo were a bit oily, but that's to be expected. The jalapeño was spicy, but nothing special. The pollo seemed decent, but we've had way better. They came with bags of curtido and salsa roja as is customary. The salsa roja was decent enough, but a little blander than others I've had. The curtido though was the real star here - I couldn't stop eating it! Perfectly pickled and crunchy - the perfect compliment to the pupusas. The salsa roja coming in a bag was extra inconvenient though, but they did give a lot. Price: At around $13 for 6 pupusas and a jarritos, you can't go wrong. Exactly as I'd expect to pay. No complaints here. Service: This was lacking, and we had to wait forever for our order as we watched everyone else get theirs. But with that in mind, the authentic places never have great service, so I didn't have high hopes to begin with. Call before you come if you don't want to wait. They speak limited English, but understood our limited and broken Spanglish just fine. Overall, this wouldn't be my first spot when I get a craving, but they're definitely decent enough to satisfy a craving especially since they're open later than any other pupuserias. Docked a star as these pupusas were solid, but nothing to make me come back for them, and the wait was way too long. I would come back just for their curtido though.
